Before we even knew who you were or what amazing work you were doing, God knew he was going to use you to answer our prayers. It gives me chills to remember how Mike kept telling me he had a strong feeling Oliver should not have the shunt surgery. We thought we had no other option - God opened another door – to you! Thank you for listening to Mike and hearing how much Oliver needed you. Thank you for being brave (and stubborn) enough to make it possible for Oliver to have the surgery so quickly. The moment we walked into Los Robles Hospital, we heard about what a special effort you put in to Oliver’s care. Your amazing staff is a true reflection of your compassionate heart and dedication to excellence in all you do. Your bravery and humility will be remembered as a special blessing always.
We hope to see you again soon so we can get a proper picture of Oliver, with his shirt on, and his hero Dr. Shahinian! :)

I feel compelled to thank Dr. Shahinian for saving the life of my 5 year old nephew, Oliver D. My twin sister, Amy D., traveled across the country to seek help for her son's brain tumor and surrounding cyst. We were not prepared for the personal caring support you have provided. Amy has had nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Shahinian and his staff. The time that Dr. Shahinian spent praying with and consoling Amy and Oliver was more than any other doctor has. This shows what an amazing compassion he has for his patients and we are so blessed to have God place him in Oliver's path.
